Genshin Impactversion 3.0 has already introduced two new additions to the roster, Tighnari, and Collei, and a third character named Dori is scheduled for the second part of the update. Even though the update arrived just a couple of days ago, developer HoYoverse has already confirmed the arrival of three new characters in the next update.

One of those characters is the long-awaited Electro user Cyno who has been mentioned in numerous rumors over the last couple of months. A new video posted on the popularGenshin Impactleaks subReddit shows how well Cyno performs when he is part of a team composition that relies on triggering one of the new Elemental Reactions named Aggravate.

to trigger Aggravate, players first need to causeanother Elemental Reaction named Quickenby combining Electro and Dendro. Applying the Electro element to a target afflicted by the Quicken Aura will trigger Aggravate, increasing the Electro user’s damage. The team composition in the video features Cyno, Dendro Traveler, Zhongli, and Kazuha. Zhongli’s Geo and Kazuha’s Anemo are considered to be neutral elements as they cannot interfere with other elemental reactions. It should be noted that HoYoverse can still make additional changes to Cyno’s kit before his official release.

Cyno is confirmed to be a new polearm DPS character, and he will receive his signature weapon in update 3.1. Recent beta leaks have revealed that his damage potential relies on triggering Aggravate, but he can also be used in different team compositions. The video shows that in order to have a decent damage output, Cyno needs only one Dendro user in his team composition, but the character has to have a great Dendro application like the new version of the Traveler.

Cyno’s damage also revolves around Elemental Mastery which is quite uncommon forGenshin Impact’s DPS characters. When it comes to his kit, Cyno’s Elemental burst allows him to convert his Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack in Electro damage as well as increase his Elemental Mastery. Players have pointed out that his Elemental Burst can last up to 18 seconds, and it has a 20-second cooldown. The two-second gap can be used to swap to other characters like Zhongli and equip Cyno with a shield.

Similar to Xiao, or Razor, Cyno is considered to be a “selfish DPS” which means that once he leaves the field, his Elemental Burst effect will be cut short. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that players should probably pair Cyno withElectro characters like Fischlwho can make sure that he doesn’t run into Energy Recharge problems.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
