A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed that the new five-star character Emilie has already received a set of strong buffs. Emilie has officially been revealed on the game’s social media accounts, and she’s scheduled to arrive in the upcoming Version 4.8, which should drop around July 17.
Genshin Impactupdates have beta servers that include almost all the new content, such as new characters, regions, weapons, and NPCs. New playable characters often go through multiple changes before they are ready to officially join the playable roster. Developer HoYoverse usually does not make any additional changes to characters once they become part of the live servers, with some smaller exceptions like the infamous Yae Miko changes.
Genshin Impact’s beta leaks have previously revealedthat Emilie will be a new Dendro support that works well when placed in team compositions that rely on triggering the Burning elemental reaction. Burning can be caused by applying Dendro damage to an enemy affected by Pyro, and vice versa. The main way HoYoverse limited Emilie’s playstyle to this elemental reaction was by reducing her damage output to enemies affected by Quicken by 90%. This reduction prevented Emilie from being used in Spread or Aggravate team compositions. Luckily, anew poston theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit has revealed that HoYoverse has removed this damage limitation, meaning that Emilie will be much more flexible and able to fit many different teams.
Genshin Impact: New Emilie Buffs Turn Her Into a Flexible Dendro Support
Many fans in the comment section praised HoYoverse for allowing Emilie to shine inotherGenshin Impactteam compsbesides Burning. Travelers claim that even though they like Emilie being one of the few characters that works with Burning, they don’t want her kit to be too limited, especially considering that she’s an off-field support. AnotherGenshin Impactleakhas revealed that Emilie’s signature weapon has gone through similar changes.
Previously,Emilie’s signature polearm’s passivewould provide a damage buff whenever the weapon holder triggered Burning. The new version of this effect provides a 15-31% ATK buff when the character applies Dendro damage to any enemy affected by Burning, regardless of who triggered this elemental reaction.
The leak also revealed that the weapon’s Energy Recharge potential has been slightly increased. These leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, considering thatGenshin ImpactVersion 4.8is still at least four weeks away, and there is a chance that HoYoverse might decide to slightly tune down her overall damage output to compensate for the new sets of buffs.
