According to the post,Genshin Impact’s upcoming Version 4.7 update will increase the maximum cap for the game’s friend system to 100, a major bump from the previous limit of 60. The post also teases that the friend system update comes as a result ofGenshin Impact’s new Spiral Abyss content, which will allow players to borrow their friends' characters.Genshin Impact’s Version 4.7 update is expected to debut on June 5.
The teased friend system update comes amidst swirling rumors aboutGenshin Impact’s newest form of endgame content,the “Imaginarium Theater” game mode. Based on recent leaks, the game mode will function similarly to the game’s pre-existing Spiral Abyss, featuring a rotating set of enemies for players to challenge. Imaginarium Theater is also expected to have special requirements for challenges, including using characters of specific elements, alongside a selection of trial characters to deploy. The new game mode will reportedly come alongside an increase to the gems available from each Spiral Abyss cycle, as well.
