Eula is a captain in the Knight of Favonius, and her clan considers her a traitor for joining them. However, people close to her like Amber and Sara support her actions and even find her personality humorous. When using Eula, players should build her to deal burst damage, but what mistakes do players make that affect her damage ability?

Updated July 21, 2025 by Nahda Nabiilah: With her rerun banner in version 2.3, more people now have the Spindrift Knight in their roster. As one of the best DPS inGenshin Impact, it’s no surprise that her banner is sought after by many. More than half a year after Eula was released in Genshin Impact 1.5, there now exists more synergy for the Vengeance Queen. By far, there are no new artifacts or weapons for her, but she can now be paired with a few other units. Therefore, new entries are added to this list to include some of the most relevant information.

12Missing Out On Raiden Shogun And Yun Jin

When Eula was first released, she managed to function greatly with the existing characters. However, many versions later, more units became available and Eula now has a wide range of supports to choose from. Among the viable options areRaiden ShogunandYun Jin. With her Elemental skill, Raiden Shogun can enhance the Spindrift Knight’s burst damage. The Electro Archon can also easily fill Eula’s Energy by using her Elemental burst.

Meanwhile, Yun Jin can massively increase the Reconnaissance Captain’s Normal attack damage.Yun Jin’s constellations inGenshin Impactcan also boost Eula’s Normal attack speed, which eventually will add to her Elemental burst damage.

Cryo

11Not Utilizing Cryo Resonance

Cryo characters are known for their abilities to function with a minimum Crit Rate. This is because their artifacts set can grant up to a 40% Critical Rate bonus. As a result, many of these units have Critical Damage as their ascension bonus. However, unlikeGanyuandAyakawhich can be played with 4-Blizzard Strayer, using Eula on Cryo artifacts is far from recommended.

Nevertheless,Eula can still benefit from the 15% extra Critical Rateprovided byCryo Resonance. So if players are struggling to make their Eula Crit, then they should consider putting a second Cryo unit in the team.

10Underestimating Eula’s Constellations

Unlike manycharacters inGenshin Impactthat don’t function without specific Constellations, Eula is a great powerhouse even at C0. This causes a lot of players to overlook Eula’s Constellations, not chasing it as they do with enhancements like Hu Tao’s C1.

But the truth is, Eula has great Constellations that can further improve her overall DPS. Her C2 is by far the most important among them. With it, players can easily utilize the passive effect of Pale Flame artifacts.

9Not Leveling Up Her Normal Attacks

Eula is a Cryo unit, so some players may disregard her Normal attacks in favor of her Cryo damage, or even play her as a support for Cryo application.

Cryo and Electro have easy access to Superconduct reaction, which lowers enemies’ Physical resistance. That, combined with the resistance reduction from Eula’s Elemental skill, allows the Vengeance Queen to deal massive Physical damage. Moreover, her Normal attack has one of the highest multipliers in the game, so players shouldn’t miss out on her Normal attacks to help Eula reach her full potential.

8Not Using Her Hold Skill

Since Eula’s damage mostly comes from her Elemental burst, players often disregard her Elemental skill.

While Eula is not entirely reliant on her Elemental skill, it is crucial to utilize it. The skill can lower enemies’ Cryo and Physical resistance. It should be used before Eula unleashes her burst and devastates her opponents. Eula will also reset her Elemental skill cooldown when she uses Elemental burst, allowing the Reconnaissance captain to cast her skill one more time.

7Not Playing Her With Physical Build

Building Eula with a Cryo build would hurt her damage potential, especially her Elemental burst since the real damage dealer of her burst is theLightfall Sword. Lightfall Sword deals Physical damage, and it can easily reach over 100k damage.

Therefore, even with Eula’s low skill-cooldown and the high Cryo multiplier, players should not build her on Cryo. Doing so will halt Eula from her Physical damage potential.

6Not Using The Right Combo

It’s easy for players to find themselves spamming Eula’s attacks since all of them can deal a satisfying amount of damage, and she will finish the job eventually. However, some places need proper attack planning, especially inSpiral Abyss.

Before using Eula’s Elemental burst, players should use her hold skill. After using her Elemental burst, the cooldown of her skill will reset. Use her tap skill immediately afterward. Then, players can spam Eula’s Normal attack to maximize the stacks she can get within the next seven seconds. Use her skill once it’s available, and finally, Lightfall Sword will descend and deal a devastating amount of Physical damage.

5Using The Wrong Artifacts

Since Eula’s damage is divided between Cryo and Physical damage, her artifact build can be a bit confusing. The player’s focus for the artifacts’ main stats should be Atk/Physical Dmg/Crit Rate or Crit Dmg. Her artifacts’ sub-stats focus should be Crit Rate, Crit Dmg, and Atk.

As for artifacts’ sets, 4-Pale Flame is the best-in-slot for Eula. Although, If players don’t want to rely on the 4-Pale Flame’s effect to proc, then they can build her with 2-Pale Flame + 2-Bloodstained Chivalry. It will boost her Physical damage by 50%.

4Using The Wrong Weapon

To maximize Eula’s damage, players must find the best weapon to work with her kit. For example, a4-star Claymore likeSnow-TombedStarsilveris great, and the Claymore passive would work with Eula’s Cryo application. However,Blackcliff Slashercan out damage Snow-Tombed since its secondary stat is Crit Dmg%.

The best 5-star Claymore for Eula isThe Unforgedif she has a 100% uptime shield, as it will give her a big Atk% bonus. Without a shield, her best 5-star Claymores areWolf’s GravestoneandSong of Broken Pines. As for 4-star, the best Claymores areSerpent Spine, Blackcliff, and Snow-Tombed Starsilver.

3Neglecting Eula’s Team Composition

Using the right team is essential for Eula’s kit. Teaming her up with a couple ofdamage dealers likeDilucandXiaowon’t be good for any of them, since the game mechanics are built around teamwork between the party members.

Eula has poor Energy Regeneration, so she needs a battery to help get her burst back faster. Players can useRaiden Shogun’s Elemental burst for this job. She alsoneeds an Electro unit like Raiden,Beidou, orFischlto help triggerSuperconductreaction. Lastly, the Spindrift Knight needs a healer or shielder support.Dionais great for both tasks. The Kätzlein is also an amazing battery for Eula and can trigger Cryo resonance with the Vengeance Queen.
