Genshin Impactupdates are usually divided into two banner cycles, each of which includes a number of limited characters. After a shortened first banner cycle that featured Tighnari and Zhongli, it’s time for two other characters to receive their banner re-run.
A new post on the popularGenshin ImpactsubReddit shows the first-day revenue for the current double banner featuring two characters, Sangonomiya Kokomi and Ganyu. Unlike the first banner in 3.0 that included Tighnari and Zhongli, it seems like a big part of the community decided to skip this one.

According to the first-day charts, Kokomi’s and Ganyu’s re-run took the 31st spot on the all-time revenue list. Fans in the comment section claim that they were not surprised by the banner’s performance considering that thenextGenshin Impactupdateis stacked with new and exciting characters. The only new playable unit in this banner is the four-star Electro user Dori, though it seems she didn’t impress too many players as they tried to avoid the risk of losing their 90-wish pity for this Electro polearm support.
Dori is a decent four-star character specializing in healing and creating Energy particles for her party, though the two five-stars, Kokomi and Ganyu, are both considered S-tier characters in their respective role. Even though she is one of the oldest characters in the game, Ganyu is still considered one of thestrongest DPS choices inGenshin Impact. Her play style revolves around dealing tons of AoE damage as well as having constant Cryo application.
While she shines in the DPS role, Ganyu is also a decent pick for the sub-DPS or support role. She has already made multiple banner appearances which could be one of the reasons why many players hesitate to spend their Primogems for the Cryo bow user. The other five-star character, Sangonomiya Kokomi, is considered one of thebest healers inGenshin Impact.
HoYoverse’s decision to add Kokomi to the banner caught many players by surprise considering she’s been featured in Genshin Impact update 2.5. A couple of fans claim that one of the reasons behind Kokomi’s re-run could be her great synergy with anupcoming Hydro character named Nilou. Adding two additional Dendro users to the mix will result in a new type of team composition that focuses on triggering a new elemental reaction named Bloom.
Genshin Impactis now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
