Summary
A newGenshin Impactchart shows the five-star waiting list after HoYoverse confirmed the banner characters that will appear in version 4.0. The game usually features four different five-star characters in every new update, two for each banner cycle. 3.8 was the only update in the whole Sumeru arc that did not feature a new character.
However, theGenshin Impact3.8 is filled with interesting quests tied to this year’s main summer event named Secret Summer Paradise. The update also featured two new skins for popular characters Klee and Kaeya. While there was a lot of hype around this event, all eyes are on the upcoming update that will finally introduce the new Fontaine region.

A Reddit user named RapidFresh has shared an interesting chart that ranks the playable characters by the number of updates they have missed. The first spot on the list is shared between two popular characters, the Geo alchemist Albedo and the first Archon that appeared in the game, the Anemo bow user Venti. Both of these characters were featured way back inGenshin Impactupdate 3.1alongside three new characters, Cyno, Nilou, and Candace. Just like any other Archon in the game, Venti is considered an S-tier support character who can fit in almost every team composition in the game thanks to his Anemo element.
He is also free-to-play friendly since to make him viable, all players have to do is equip him with the Viridescent Venerer set that shreds the enemies' resistances. Albedo is also a popular five-star support who is by many considered the secondstrongest Geo user inGenshin Impactafter Zhongli.
Albedo’s playstyle is fairly simple since players just need to place his Solar Isotoma before their DPS rotation and use his Elemental Burst whenever it’s available. According to the chart, three five-star characters have missed 6 consecutive updates: Arataki Itto, Raiden Shogun, and Kamisato Ayato. Itto is also a Geo user but unlike Albedo, his primary role is main DPS. Players who want to use him in this role should try to getthe four-star unit Gorouwho is his go-to support.
Raiden Shogun is probably themost popular character in all ofGenshin Impactwhich is also proven by the game’s sales reports as all of her banner appearances rank very high on the all-time revenue list. Players can expect Raiden Shogun to get a banner re-run in the first couple of Fontaine updates.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
