Combat in video games can be extremely satisfying or frustrating, depending on whether the player is successful or not. However, there are also times when moments invideo game combatare so silly that the player can’t help but be amused.
Red Dead Redemption 2, like many other modern open-world games, features a form of in-game physics that helps to provide realism to movement and combat. However, it doesn’t take much for these physics to engage in funny ways, and one player fighting off an opponent got to see it first-hand.

Reddit user Affectionate-Bus-818 shared a video clip of the amusingRed Dead Redemption 2moment. In the video, the player can be seen hidden around the corner from an enemy that’s ascending a flight of stairs. After remaining hidden for a moment, they turn the corner to come face-to-face with the NPC attacker, and tackle them, sending them flying backwards towards the stairwell handrail. Instead of flipping over the edge or finding their feet, however, the NPC topples over and over down the handrail itself, until they’ve rolled off the end and land on the ground.
It’s an amusing moment in an otherwise tense encounter. It’s readily apparent that there are several more enemies that the player will have to deal with looking at the game’s mini-map, likely leaving them little time to enjoy the moment. Thankfully, they were able to share thehilariousRed Dead Redemption 2momentfor other players to enjoy.
Of course, just about anyone who has playedRed Dead Redemption 2, or evenGrand Theft Autois likely familiar with how wacky the physics can get in Rockstar’s video games.Red Dead Redemption 2glitches have sent players sinking through the ground, falling out of the world, or being catapulted into the stratosphere after climbing onto a glitching bridge.GTAis no stranger to itself, with fences inGTA 5andswings inGTA 4being well-known for sending players flyingwhen the player or their car collides with the swinging object.
While this isn’t the wildest of odd glitches to strikeRed Dead Redemption 2, it is amusing. Rockstar Games went way out of its way to make the game as realistic as possible, with a surprising level of detail being discovered to this day. However, bugs like these can add a lot of memorability and hilarity to a game, whether it happens by accident or players purposefully trigger them to do things likelaunch themselves to Mexico. WithRed Dead Redemption 2being so well-loved by fans and critics alike, minor issues like these do little to mar the experience.
Red Dead Redemption 2is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
