InFortniteChapter 2, Season 8, the quests are dished out to players in a somewhat different manner, but the requests from the NPCs still follow a similar format that players are used to. To complete Baba Yaga’s questline inFortniteSeason 8, players will need to “use any of the services of a Mending Machine.” By using this guide, players will learnwhere to find a Mending Machineand how to interact with it to finish the challenge and earn XPand Gold Bars.
What are Mending Machines in Fortnite
Mending Machines will look very similar to the othervending machines that can sell weapons to players. Still, the big difference is that the Mending Machine sells players items pertinent to healing. Players can spend their Gold Bars to get a leg-up during a match by purchasing stuff like shield potions and medkits. It’s great to visit these machines if players have taken heavy damage and can’t find health items anywhere else.

Mending Machine Locations in Fortnite Season 8
The map below will show players several locations where they’ll be able to find a Mending Machine. They can go to the eastern exit ofPleasant Parkor the gas station north of Sludgy Swamp or any of the other spots circled in red. It actually turns out that the Mending Machines are conveniently placed in every gas station around theFortnitemap, making this quest much simpler to complete than intended.
For the quest to finally be completed,Fortniteplayers must purchase one item from the Mending Machine. As long as it is some sort of healing item, the quest should recognize the purchase, and a notification will appear, notifying players of their latestFortniteSeason 8achievement.
It’s also worth noting that players should have some Gold Bars on them before attempting to find a Mending Machine for the quest. If players are all out of Gold Bars, they won’t be able to make the purchase to fulfill the quest objective. Players can find Gold Bars by completing other quests, defeating opponents during matches, or inside loot chests.
