The event will be live until May 23 at 9 AM ET, and during this time, gamers will be able to enjoy several uniqueStar Warsgameplay features while playingFortnite. This guide will focus on thenewStar WarsForce abilities and show players exactly how they can use them.
Force Abilities
Gamers can now use the Force inFortnite; they will beable to take advantage of themduring combat and use powerful abilities against their enemies in-game.
Force abilities will allow players to sprinter faster, double jump, pull or push away enemies, and even lift and throw objects
How To Get Force Abilities
Many fans believed that ifFortnitewere to add the Force to the game, perhaps it would be assome sort of Reality Augment, but Epic Games found another way to implement this new feature.
During previousStar Warsevents, whenever a player picked up a Lightsaber, it could only be used as a melee weapon, but nowdifferent Force abilities are connected to a specific Lightsaber. There are three different Lightsabers in the game, and gamers must find them in order to acquire Force powers.
Not long into a match, a Lightsaber marker will appear on the player’s map, and if they reach it they will be able to speak with a hologram of one of threenotoriousStar Warscharacters. They can then ask to start Jedi training, which will then result in them being pulled into a Rift for a few seconds to be taught a new ability and given a Lightsaber.
The spawn location of theStar WarsRifts are random, but the marker will be the same color as the Lightsaber the player will encounter inside
Jedi Training
Each ability is bound to its Lightsaber, and playerscan only use it if they equip it. Here are all three Lightsabers, each trainer, and the ability that they will grant:
Green Jedi Padawan Lightsaber
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Push - allows the player to push objects and players away
Blue Jedi Padawan Lightsaber
Anakin Skywalker
Pull - allows the player to pull objects and players toward them
Darth Maul
Throw - allows the player to lift and throw objects
Fortniteis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
