Where to Find IO Forces in Fortnite
Players don’t have a shortage of opportunities when it comes to hunting down the IO. When opening up the map, players should see that this season there arered and blue lines dividing the world ofFortnite.
The areas circled in red are those controlled by the IO and are a player’s best bet when tracking down these NPCs. Some named locations within this vast zone include the Command Cavern, the Fortress, the Daily Bugle, and the Tilted Towers. Players will find at least a pair of guards at each location.
On top of this, the rumor that atank would be coming toFortnitehas come true, and IO Titan Tanks can be found at some of these locations. However, it should be noted that engaging the troops on the ground may result in one of them jumping in the nearby tank and using this vehicle against players.
What do IO Guards Drop
IO Guards are relatively well-armed, especially considering that some players may run across them just after landing. These NPCs typically carry either a Rare Stinger SMG or a Rare Striker Pump Shotgun.
These are solid options for players looking to upgrade on some ofFortnite’s common weapons. On top of this, players will also findone ofFortnite’s healing itemsand ammunition once they have killed an IO Guard.
These guards are easy to alert and will attack a player on sight. When it comes to clearing an area, players can either knock down every IO Guard (which will result in each one’s death) or knock down and kill each guard individually.
Players should note that IO Guards have 250 total health (150 of which is shield) and will attempt to revive one another when one is downed nearby.
Fortniteis free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
