Jessie Rasberry is a member of the revolutionary group known as Avalanche, and one of the main characters players interact with inRemake. Although she appears in the originalFinal Fantasy 7, her portrayal inRemakeby Erica Lindbeck instantly breathed new life into the character, after only being characterized through text before. Her look is iconic, wearing a bold red bandana with long brown hair, a silver chest piece and pauldrons, and green capris. Beyond Jessie, the game’s other leading femalesTifa and Aerith are also very popular to cosplayas well.

They nail all of Jessie’s mentioned key design traits, from the silver armor plates to the red bandana and hair styling. Furthermore, Aly’s stance and pose exude the bubbly, personable spirit that many fans fell in love with Jessie for while playing Remake. A key distinction from another recentFinal Fantasy 7 RemakeJessie cosplayis that Aly appears to have just styled their hair as opposed to using a wig, providing a different, homely quality to the interpretation.
In addition to Jessie, Aly has cosplayed some ofFinal Fantasy’s other leading ladies. They must be a fan of Aerith Gainsborough because (besides their Reddit username), they have cosplays of Aerith in her traditional clothes as well as her Don Corneo attire. Another lady they cosplay isFinal Fantasy 8’s Rinoa Heartilly, a game and character that are both grossly underrepresented other than somefantastic Ultimecia cosplay. Other characters that Aly has cosplayed include Link fromThe Legend of Zeldaand Lara Croft fromTomb Raider.
Fans in the comments have given Aly a ton of love for their interpretation of Jessie. One fan pointed out Aly’s smile, it being one of the greatest indicators of Jessie’s personality. Others are clamoring to see Aly’s Jessie alongside cosplays of Biggs and Wedge, Jessie’s closest companions from the game. As shown withcosplays of Cloud and Red XIII fromFinal Fantasy 7, they only get better as more characters appear.
