The video game industry is about to enter its annual fall gaming rush, where numerous blockbuster games will all launch within the next few months to be out in time for the holiday season. There are major games confirmed for release a little beyond the fall window, though, with game companies having already confirmed somemajor titles that will launch in early 2023.

There are some big games launching in January 2023, but February 2023 looks to be even more stacked so far.Announcements this past week at Gamescom Opening Night Liveand other events have set February 2023 up to be an absolute huge month for gaming, assuming the games scheduled to release that month aren’t with delays or otherwise fail to live up to expectations. There are many games already confirmed for release in February 2023, though three titles stand out as particularly noteworthy.

One such game isDead Island 2, which was first announced all the way back at E3 2014.Dead Island 2went silent after its reveal at the Sony E3 2014 press conference, trapped in development hell and switching developers multiple times.Dead Island 2finally reappeared at Gamescom 2022, releasing a cinematic trailer to introduce new character Jacob and the release date while also showing off the first-ever gameplay footage of the open world zombie action-RPG.Dead Island 2is confirmed to be launching on February 3 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

New Video Game Releases February 2023

The big February 2023 releases aren’t slowing down because a week later, fans will be treated to the highly-anticipatedHogwarts Legacy.Harry Potterfans have been waiting to playHogwarts Legacyfor years now, and they will finally have their chance come February 10.
