Rumors about the upcomingFantastic Fourmovie are flying around the internet these days. While a new set of rumors claims to know who will play Reed Richards, it also appears the film has cast Jamie Dornan to give a new look to Johnny Storm, otherwise known as The Human Torch.
At the moment, there isn’t a ton of concrete info known about the MCU’s entry into the world ofTheFantastic Four. It’s been made clear that production is going to be starting on the flick in the near future, but as of now, reports are that no one has been officially signed onto the cast. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t a number of people who are circling the movie and who might be made official any day now.

When official announcements come beyond the fact thatJon Watts is no longer directing, it appears one of the biggest news drops could be about who will be playing The Human Torch. The website Giant Freakin Robot cites sources it says have come through in the past as saying that none other than Dornan will take on the role of Johnny Storm. If the report is true, it would be a new chapter in Dornan’s career. The actor is best known as billionaire Christian Grey in theFifty Shadesfranchise, though he does have plenty of action roles on his resume. This would, however, be the first superhero movie he’s starred in.
Just who will play who in Marvel Studios’Fantastic Fourhas been the subject of more than a few rumors, including some coming from people claiming to be the actors themselves. That includes the time that Howard Stern claimed he was going tobe in a Doctor Doom project, though at this point, that seems to be more than a joke than a real claim. Of course, considering that no casting news has been made official, there is always an outside chance that he could be lending his voice to the villain.
Should Dornan indeed be taking on the role of the Human Torch he’ll be joining a rather impressive roster of actors who have played Johnny Storm on the big screen in the past.Chris Evans' first ever Marvel moviehad him play that part and he’s made it clear that he wouldn’t totally rule out returning to it, though that seems extremely unlikely if not downright out of the question. Michael B. Jordan was the next man up in the attempted and failed reboot. Now it could be up to Dornan to finally bring theFantastic Fourcharacter to the MCU.
