Summary
The creators of theFallout 4total conversion modFallout: Londonhave promised to fix the game’s “reported technical issues” soon. While thisFallout 4mod was recently released with mostly positive acclaim from fans, it currently has several game-breaking issues, effectively preventing some people from playing it.
Originally announced by the non-profit modding group Team FOLON in 2021,Fallout: Londonwas recently released on GOG. The mod is entirely free, but it was released on the store because its files were too big for other modding platforms such as Nexus Mods. Despite being praised for its story and world-building, however, many gamers experienced constant crashes when they started playingFallout: London.
Now, Team FOLON has thanked the community for their support and promised to fix the reported technical issues currently plaguingFallout: London. While the team did not give an official date for an update, Team FOLON claims that the patch will come out “soon.” In the meantime, gamers should carefully read the installation instructions of the game before installing it to avoid compatibility issues. The use ofFallout 4’s Buffout 4 mod is also indicated to diminish crashes.
Team FOLON Promises to Solve Fallout: London’s Technical Issues
At the moment,Fallout: Londonhas a score of 3.3/5 on GOG. While it still has many positive reviews, considering it’s a huge and complex mod made by a non-profit group, the score is likely affected by the many issues gamers had while playing it. It’s easy to find multiple comments on the game’s page stating thatFallout: Londoncrashes all the time, essentially making it unplayable for a significant portion of the user base.
PC gamers who want to try outFallout: Londoncan do it if they currently have GOG or Steam copies ofFallout 4. Due to the need to downgradeFallout 4’s version for the mod to work, theEpic Games Store ofFallout 4is not compatible withFallout: London, as the EGS platform does not give players that option.
Unfortunately, there are still no updates from Team FOLON regarding a console release ofFallout: London. Team FOLON has previously confirmed thatFallout: Londonwon’t be available for consoles, as its files are too big to be allowed on the console modding platforms, the same problem that prevented the game from being on Nexus Mods. If Bethesda’s owner, Microsoft, would make an exception for the game, this could be possible, but gamers should not hold their breaths, as it’s unlikely that this would happen.
