The Lands Between inElden Ringis home to some stunning views and grand vistas, but arguably the most gorgeous section of the epic landscape is Liurnia of The Lakes. Liurnia can be easily accessed in the early game by bypassing Stormveil Castle via a side road near the main gate where players will be hit by the first of many incredible views.

This land is ruled over by the head of the Carian royalty and the Academy of Raya Lucaria: Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. Together withRadagon of the Golden Orderthey sired three demigod children and ended the war between Queen Marika and the Carian royalty. So with a location drenched in atmosphere and history, these are the best (and most interesting) places to visit in Liurnia of the Lakes while playingElden Ring.
Updated June 1st, 2022 By James Sired:The Lands Between has been thoroughly explored by millions of players since its original release. The growing multiplayer community inElden Ringhas been drawn to Liurnia, its gorgeous scenery allows for many duels to take place amidst incredible backdrops. Due to the full exploration of The Lands Between, the community is now aware of a few extra places that the Tarnished should visit when exploring Liurnia of the Lakes to gain extra items, progress NPC questlines, or learn interesting pieces of lore.
14Jarburg
It’s not often that a player can experience wholesomeness in a game made by FromSoftware, that’s why Jarburg is so special. This small village can be accessed by jumping down platforms built into the cliff face next to the Artist’s Shack Site of Grace.
This Village is populated with a number of cute jar people along with Jar Bairn, a small jar that wants to become a warrior and go on adventures. This questline will take the majority of the game to complete, but it’s well rewarded with great items and a wonderful, albeit bittersweet ending.
13Lakeside Crystal Cave
One of the most important caves to explore in Liurnia is the Crystal Cave located southwest of the Laskyer Ruins. This area is mostly populated with Demi-Humans and Crystal Snails that should be fairly easy to dispatch and a Bloodhound Knight for a boss. His agility does make him a credible threat but when he is defeated, he will drop a Cerulean Amber Medallion.
After this Cave has been completed, the player will be able to exit through the other side and find the Slumbering Wolf’s Shack where they will find Latenna and begin her questline. Her questline leads to a number of excellent items in the late game, so this location is a highly recommended place to check out.
12Frenzied Flame Village
Likely one of the last places the player will visit in Liurnia is a village to the north that has been tainted by one of the Outer Gods, specifically the Frenzied Flame. It is specifically located south of the Grand Lift of Dectus and requires the player to maneuver around a tower that will drive a player mad if they are in its direct eye line to reach it.
Once the player has gotten close to the tower and killed its inhabitants they will be able to explore the village and discover lore hints surrounding the Frenzied Flame ending, along with a couple of cookbooks and a Stonesword Key.
11Church Of Vows
The Church of Vows is an excellent place to visit if fans want to gain more in-depth knowledge about the lore ofElden Ringin addition to finding a couple of nifty items and arguably the most wholesome NPC in the game.
Located on a clifftop in the northeast section of Liurnia, The Church of Vows is the place where Rennala and Ragdagon wed to end the war between the house of the Erdtree and the house of the Moon. Here, Tarnished can find the Gold Sewing Needle which will allow the modification of demigod attire.
10Caria Manor
The northernmost section of Liurnia of the Lakeshas a couple of incredibly important locationscontaining items and questlines that the Tarnished will not want to miss out on. Specifically, Caria Manor can be accessed by simply following the main road on the western side of the map, which contains many unholy creatures.
The giant hands that guard the main areasof the Manor are somehow even creepier than giant spiders, so all arachnophobic Tarnished should beware. However, the risk is worth the reward because inside you can find Golden Runes, a Golden seed, and the legendary Sword of Night and Flame.
9Academy Gate Town
The Academy Gate Town is a great place to go and get your bearings when first arriving in Liurnia of the Lakes because it’s a great jumping-off point toother parts of Liurniabut also is the place to further Diallos’s questline.

The Gate Town also serves as visual storytelling, signifying to the Tarnished that Raya Lucaria is in a decrepit state and foreshadows the state of Raya Lucaria after The Shattering of the Elden Ring. The partially submerged town is also an excellent location for those looking for multiplayer duels.
8Divine Tower Of Liurnia
This particular Divine Toweris especially difficult to access as it requires the Tarnished to progress through Ranni’s questline to create the path needed to get there. Once that is accomplished, players will have to fight through two bosses: Preceptor Miriam, who is an absolute nightmare for Strength builds to face, and a Godskin Noble.
Once the Tarnished have ascended the tower they will be able to loot the Cursemark of Death, which is a key item to unlock one of the endings for the game. It is also needed to fight one of the best bosses in the game, so it is incredibly worth the hardship to get there.
7Four Belfries
One of the most interesting locations inElden Ring, the Four Belfries transports players to important locations all over The Lands Between in exchange for one Imbued Sword Key. The fourth belfry tower (the one at the top of the hill) provides fans with one of these Imbued Sword Keys.
The areas players are transported to are optional and consist of otherwise inaccessible areas. For example, one takes you to a far-off tower in Nokron, Eternal city whereas another gives you your first glimpse of the breathtaking Farum Crumbling Azula.
6Grand Lift Of Dectus
Likely one of the last things the Tarnished will visit in Liurnia is the Grand Lift of Dectus, the natural path the player will gravitate towards when heading to the Altus Plateau. ‘Grand’ is certainly the right word because the structure is gigantic.

Fans can certainly imagine demigods using the lift to traverse The Lands Between during The Shattering.Although to use the lift, players will need to find both halves of the Dectus Medallion. The left half can be found in Fort Haight whereas the right half can be found in Fort Haroth.
5Village Of The Albinaurics
Underneath the plateau of the Moonlight Altar, a massive cavern contains the location of the Village of the Albinaurics. Here, the Tarnished can progress with Nephili’s questline and gain the left half of the Haligtree medallion, which can be used to access the Haligtree.
This village has been corrupted by cursemongers, yet another location ravaged since The Shattering occurred. Whilst it may be one of the more depressing locations in Liurnia, Tarnished should visit for some amazingly lit views and the miniboss Omenkiller.
