What are Capstone Dungeons in Diablo 4?
Although the game already has a plethora of dungeons and cellars in which players can explore and hopefully grab anAspect of Power of two, Capstone Dungeons are a different beast altogether.
It only becomesavailable at the end of the current run of a World Tier, and the first players will gain access to will be theCathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon located in the Fractured Peaks.
Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon
This particular dungeon ismuch larger than any normal dungeonfound in the game and includes a teleporter that will bring players to another portion of the dungeon to continue the fight. However, thesetup will be a familiar sight, with players having tocomplete several objectivesbefore being able to move on to thefinal boss fight. Having theright class buildwill help tremendously.
The first leg requires thecollection of Animus from Revenant Knights, which should be straightforward enough for most players when it comes to fighting mobs and Elites. The following objective will be much tougher, however, tasking players totake on the High Council.
The High Council is made up offour different bosses with health bars, and they do not go down easy. Focus on taking down theSacred Physicianto prevent enemy healing and buffs, and take care of theGrand Inquisitorto prevent ranged disturbances. After that, both theLord CommanderandDevoted Championare more typical melee types, so dodge accordingly and give them the business.
After arriving at theReliquary of Erudition, slay all the enemiesand prepare for adifficult encounter with The Curator. This final boss is not one to be trifled with, especially with itsarsenal of AoE attacks,so make sureall equipment is up to snuff.Dodge out of the way anything a green lineappears on the ground to avoid damage andwatch out for the floating skullsthat cause the Vulnerable state if they connect.
The Curator is also fond ofsummoning bone wallsto knock players about and willsummon skeletal alliesevery once in a while to aid it in battle. Lastly, it can alsocall whirlwindsthat can cause considerable damage to anyone caught within.Keep moving and focus damageon the boss, and eventually, it will go down.
