Players ofDestiny 2are getting a new season with the launch of Season of the Worthy, the tenth season for the online shooter. Along with the introduction of the lost Seraph Bunkers and amajor bug to the Gambit mode, the biggest thing coming this season is the return of the Trials of Osiris.
A new gameplay trailer for the return of Trials of Osiris toDestiny 2was released, showcasing the action-packed high-stakes PvP event. What’s most interesting, though, is the trailer teases the Lighthouse rewards.

Season of the Worthy will have Guardians raiding the lost Seraph Bunkers and powering up Rasputin’s defenses in an effort to stop a spaceship from colliding with the planet. The thing players really care about, though, is the return of Trials of Osiris. The 3v3 mode was originally introduced in the originalDestinyand quickly became a fan favorite event. Now the developers at Bungie are planning to make Trials a permanent addition toDestiny 2.
As amazing as that is, what’s more amazing is the apparent tease of the Lighthouse rewards in the trailer. According to the teaser, players who complete flawless runs could be rewarded with what appears to be crafting materials, glowing cosmetics for guns, and the legendary Osiris Armor (which also glows now). There’s no telling if any unique weapons will be awarded for flawless runs, so players will have to participate in the Trials to see for themselves. If a new Legendary weapon does get introduced, players can bet it will probably suffer the samecrucial flaw every newDestiny 2weapon has had this Season.
Trials of Osiris will follow the same rules as previous 3v3 Elimination events that were showcased in the last few Seasons. Apart from ahuge change that will help PvPin general, the main difference is that Saint-14 will be calling the matches and that Power actually matters now. Players must be at 960 Power to participate. Players have to get as many wins as possible before they get three loses, or else they’ll have to start all over. Players can earn a flawless victory by winning seven matches with no losses.
Contrary towhat had been reported earlier, Bungie says there won’t be any Boons for players to buy. Instead, players will have five different Trials Passages to choose from, each one offering a different bonus. These bonuses include forgiving one loss per run or granting bonus experience from wins that increases with each consecutive win. Players will also be able to earn Trials Tokens, which they can turn in to Saint-14 to increase reputation and earn Trials Engrams. Tokens that aren’t spent will be removed at the end of each weekly reset, so players will want to keep that in mind.
Destiny 2is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Trails of Osiris starts tomorrow, March 13th.
