It has been months since Nintendo unleashedAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsupon Switch players and the creativity has not slowed down. As each week brings fresh recreations, reinterpretations and remakes, a new one is riffing on a nostalgic Nickelodeon show.

The most recentAnimal Crossingfan project to display how far players are willing to go in showing love for old properties isDanny Phantom. YouTuber ecokitti uploaded a video where they, in collaboration with UltimashodowX, recreated theDanny Phantomopening. It comes in as anotherAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsanimated intro recreation with Cartoon Network’sAdventure Timegetting the same treatmentlast month.

Danny Phantomwas a beloved mid-2000s Nickelodeon animated series following the titular character and his ghostly superpowers. Watching theAnimal Crossingversion dubs in the show’s theme song so the plot is quickly presented. The video itself, while using as much capturedAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsfootage as possible, is still willing to use some editing magic to get effects resembling the original intro.

One of the cuter elements of the video is usingAnimal Crossing: New Horizons’very own wandering ghost Wisp. Players are familiar withhelping Wisp find his piecesafter unintentionally scaring him during the night. Those who help the frightful ghost are treated to a difficult decision of choosing between “something new” or “something expensive.”

Animal Crossing: New Horizonrecreations has become a genre in and of itself. DespiteAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsnot being a complete sandbox, players have been able to do magic with the tools given to them. Recreating TV show intros are just one way fans are using their islanders. TheGravity Fallsintro remade inNew Horizonsthat came out just a week after launch was one of the earlier projects in this style.

Beyond intros, players have actually used their entire islands as a canvas to recreate famous pop culture locations. One player took it beyond just island terraforming and costume designs to actually remake an entire gameplay segment. Last month, saw YouTube channel The Nookstersremake thePokemon Blueopeningwith Villagers as surrogate Pokemon.

As forDanny Phantom, this recreation might be salt in the wound for fans whostill clamor for aDanny Phantomreboot. The show’s popularity has not wavered after its abrupt end in 2007. While it is unlikely much will change in that front, hopefully ecokitti releases the costume designs for series fans.
