WithCyberpunk 2077launching on December 10, CD Projekt Red has released the tracklists for the game’s soundtrack. The various artists involved with theCyberpunk 2077soundtrack will appear in-game as various characters, lest the Celebrity Paradox be invoked as it has been withKeanu Reeves/Johnny Silverhand.Volume 1of the soundtrack will arrive on December 11, whileVolume 2will be out on December 18. From what can be seen, it should be inferred that this will not be the full soundtrack and that more volumes could be coming soon. Various artists and tracks already associated withCyberpunk 2077are not on these tracklists. Rapper A$AP Rocky — who is not seen on these tracklists — previously confirmed his involvement in the game while “4ÆM” by Grimes is also missing, despite being performed at The Game Awards last year. Swedish punk band Refused is another notable exclusion from the tracklist, despite playing the important role ofJohnny Silverhand’s band Samurai.
Though the soundtrack is expected to be banger after banger, there are concerns from the streaming community regarding if they can streamCyberpunk 2077with its licensed soundtrack. CD Projekt Red has assured streamers thatthe game’s music should be safe from DMCAs.
In the lead up to December 10, it appears that CD Projekt Red is leaning heavily towards the celebrity connections ofCyberpunk 2077in its marketing.A new episode of Night City Wirewill focus entirely on Keanu Reeves and his character of Johnny Silverhand, premiering on November 19 at 6 pm CET. This broadcast will also feature the soundtrack, with some of these songs to be debuted.
