Cyberpunk 2077players have been making plenty of use of the game’s detailed character creator, with players sharing their designs online. OneCyberpunk 2077character creation has sparked extra attention, however, as someone has brought Sombra fromOverwatchinto the game.
While mostOverwatchfans that main the Damage character have been busyfinding hidden spots for Sombra’s translocator, Reddit user Karl_DRG decided it would be a good idea to recreate the character withinCyberpunk 2077. Reconstructing the female version of V to look just likeOverwatch’s popular hacker, the character translates incredibly well to the more realistic art style seen inCyberpunk 2077. With the finished design, Karl_DRG is able to “boop” the characters ofCyberpunk 2077just like Sombra often does inOverwatch.

The design was shared to the r/Overwatch subreddit, with the post picking up a decent amount of traction on the dedicated forum for Blizzard’s hero shooter. Karl_DRG’s design captures many of the elements seen in Sombra’s original design, such as the character’s stylized purple hair and heavy eyeliner. With even small details like a mole on the character’s face being kept intact, the player nails the design of theOverwatchhero and makes great use ofCyberpunk 2077’s character creator.
Sombra’s backstory and abilities make her a natural fit forCyberpunk 2077’s Night City setting. Not only does she look the part, but the character’s cybernetic enhancements that were detailed in herOverwatchbackstory would be the norm forCyberpunk 2077’s universe. With numerous evil corporations and conspiracies afoot inCyberpunk 2077as well, theOverwatchcharacter’s goals of unraveling mysteries could remain the same. With plenty of technology to hack into, Night City would be an absolute paradise for Sombra.
It will be interesting to see ifthe creativeOverwatchcommunitymakes any other heroes insideCyberpunk 2077, as well as what they do beyond that. With the deep RPG mechanics of the game, it is entirely possible to roleplay as anOverwatchhero for the entirety of the game — having the same morals and making the same choices that they would if they were plucked into CD Projekt Red’s futuristic universe. While it is unclear if Karl_DRG will play the entire game as if they were Sombra, their design is certainly impressive, and it could easily serve as the inspiration for more created character ideas.
Hopefully, theOverwatchfan is not plagued by the fairly common and veryNSFWCyberpunk 2077bug, as it would certainly have a negative impact on the look. As long as that unfortunate situation does not play out, this Sombra cosplay should be looking awesome throughout the entirety ofCyberpunk 2077’s runtime.
