In a recent interview with Prensaescenario, Bale gave his perspective working with the film’s cast as a Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer. The actor praised the performances of Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Portman. After applauding other members of the cast, Bale went on to reveal that while shootingThor: Love and Thunder, he got to work with some actors who didn’t make the film’s final cut. He told Prensaescenario, “I got to work with Peter Dinklage. That’s not in the final film, but I got to work with him. He’s fantastic. I got towork with Jeff Goldblum. He’s not in the final film either. As you see, a lot of stuff ends up on the cutting room floor even though it is beautiful, brilliant stuff.”
Both Dinklage and Goldblum have both appeared in Marvel Cinematic Universe films with Thor in the past. Dinklage played Eitri inAvengers: Infinity War, helping Thor craft his new weapon Stormbreaker. Meanwhile, Goldblum was a part of the cast ofThor: Ragnarokas the Grandmaster, with a memorable scene at the arena on Sakaar where Thor battled the Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo). Both the actors were rumored to have appearances inThor: Love and Thunder, but sadly they won’t appear in the film’s theatrical debut.
However, there is a chance they might make an appearance on the Blu-ray deleted scenes. With the upcoming release of theextendedSpider-Man: No Way Home, there are chances that a longer version ofThor: Love and Thundercould be released in the future.
Thor: Love and Thunderwill hit theaters on July 8th, 2022.
