Children of the Sunis abullet-time-infused sniping puzzlegame about taking revenge on a cult by using their own psychic powers against them. Players supposedly take the role of a girl with a hunting rifle and a single bullet per level, but in the actual game, they arguably play as the bullet, ricocheting in impossible ways, changing direction every time it hits an enemy, and changing speed mid-shot.
Children of the Sunis never easy, especially with its optional challenges, and the last few levels really ramp up thedifficulty. However, it’s not until the last mission, The Temple, that the game challenge becomes so complex and lengthy to completely stump some players. It’s long enough to be divided into two separate sections. The inner area is protected by a large dome of energy that only comes down once every enemy outside of it is killed.
Advice For Completing The Temple In Children Of The Sun
The best advice for completing The Temple is the same as any other level:tag every enemy, try multiple options, and always hit enemies in their weak spots.Be persistent, butdon’t get stuck on just one possible solution. As for this specific level, here’s a big tip: try tofinish the first portion of the level without ever using a charge to re-aim the bullet, ideally with two full charges ready for the next section.
Unlike most other levels in the game, it’s impossible to tag every enemy in The Temple before shooting the bullet for the first time. That said, struggling players should attempt to tag every enemy out in the open. This means having about14 enemies out of 17 taggedfrom the word go. Tagging the two birds flying in the air can also help.
The Temple Level Walkthrough
Sprint to your right as soon as the level begins in order to make sure every enemy is in the correct position. Take aim against the left side of the mystic’s yellow orb as soon as you are in position. From there, according to the screenshot above, you musthit enemy N. 4, then supercharge the bullet against N. 7, then the mystic, and then N. 6.
The last three enemies of part one of the level can be beaten withthe same strategy as before. Hit the other mystic’s protective bubble, correct the bullet’s trajectory against the remaining heavy armor cultist, then his companion standing close by, and finally, the mystic. This will clear the first section of the level.
The second part of the level is much more complex, and it’s best illustrated by the video above. Otherwise, these are the ideal steps to follow to finish the level stress-free.
When only one enemy remains, shoot towards the front of the gate and then redirect thebullet against the final enemy, the cult leader.
