Originally launching in March 2020, the free to play battle royaleCall of Duty: Warzonehas becoming a massive revenue generator for Activision. In fact, the game has become so popular thatWarzonehas really leaned into crossover events with various franchises likeTerminator,Attack on Titan, and the Monsterverse to name a few. However, despite continuing to be incredibly popular with fans,Call of Duty: Warzonehas a lengthy history with various issues and bugs.
For most of the game’s life, hacking and cheating were major issues with seemingly no end in sight. While it continues to be an issue, Activision launched its own anti-cheating system called Ricochet, which seemed to do the trick for a while, at least. Unfortunately,cheating inWarzoneseems to have returned, as fans have been criticizing the technology for letting a new wave of hackers invade matches. In addition, fans have been running into all sorts of weird bugs, including the return of one that was a real plague on the game last year.

For manyCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers, the worst bug to hit the game was the invincibility glitch. Triggered through a variety of methods like getting stuck inside a specific pillar at Stadium, this bug madeWarzoneplayers immune to taking damage and impossible to kill. As players have started to notice, this issue has seemingly returned inside the Season 4 update as new footage has surfaced online of a player taking absurd levels of damage and not going down as expected.
The clip comes from aCall of Duty: Warzonestreamer known as TrickyRick who encountered an enemy that simply wouldn’t die. As seen in the footage, Rick not only puts a ton of bullets into the other player, but at one point, the execution move they used is simply shrugged off as if nothing happened at all. Naturally, the other player takes out Rick and wins the match. Naturally, comments ranged from shock to outrage, as many criticized Raven for allowing this to resurface again.
Some attempted to explain the issue, calling it a glitch, or perhaps it was another cheater that had snuck through Ricochet. With more and more matches seemingly being ruined by these major issues, some even looked forward to thelaunch ofModern Warfare 2andWarzone 2later this year, worrying that these sorts of issues could be present again once the games launch in full. Considering how longWarzonehas been experiencing weird bugs and glitches, it’s understandable to assume a game likeWarzone 2likely won’t be immune either.
