Summary
Raven Software provides an update confirming an investigation into Breacher Drones and their higher than intended damage output inCall of Duty: Warzone. Season 1 finally arrived forCall of Dutyfans earlier this month, infusingModern Warfare 3andWarzonewith tons of new content and updates. One of thebiggest additions toCall of Duty: Warzonehas been the new Urzikstan mapand the many new traversal and movement adjustments.
However, not every adjustment has been met with praise by the community. The intro cinematic before players drop in has been heavily criticized for being too long with poor visuals. On the flip side of that,Warzoneplayers seem to love the newly added Squad Labelsshown at the end of the match, which includes some hilarious ones like Weakest Link and Dead Weight. As a live service title, Raven Software continues to make adjustments toWarzoneand recently announced a potential change coming for the Breacher Drone.
On the Call of Duty Updates account, Raven Software revealed that the studio is currently investigating the Breacher Drone lethal equipment following reports that the damage was higher than intended. Unfortunately, not many additional details were provided, but the post linked to the officialCall of DutyTrello Board, which allows fans to follow along with the team’s progress. At the time of publish, the issue is still in the investigation phase with no real timeline as to when a potential fix will be readied.
The Breacher Drone is lethal equipment that flies directly at whatever the player is aiming at and ultimately exploding when in proximity of an enemy or hitting something. The device has certainly been in the spotlight in the short time thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3has been available, with many fans feeling like the Breacher Drone is well overpowered. In fact, manyCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers have seen the device easily help players out of situations like eliminating multiple enemies or taking out a riot shield user in two hits. Even if the device sees a slight power reduction, it’ll still likely be a popular pick for many players thanks to its ease of use.
In addition to checking in on the Breacher Drone, Raven Software has also recently confirmed that it is investigating acommonWarzoneplayer complaint about footstep audio. The studio revealed that it is looking through player feedback on missing footsteps audio and wil share next steps once a plan is in place. Many fans have criticized the game over the fact that player footsteps remain difficult if not impossible to hear, almost as if all players are using the Dead Silence perk. It’s not a new issue as it has been plaguingWarzoneon and off for a few years now.
