Call of Duty: Warzoneis still working out the kinks of its integration withBlack Ops Cold War’s content one week into Season 1. After some initial hesitation, players have found guns from theBlack Opsarsenal that they like, such as the Diamatti, which has a number of builds being used by players. With any new season of content inCall of Duty, it is pretty much a given at this point that something breaks, and it appears something is off about a certainBlack Ops Cold Warattachment.

Warzonecan feel like a buggy mess at times. This is the price players pay when new content is constantly being added that may not receive enough time to do proper quality assurance testing. When the game works, it can be a lot of fun. When a game-breaking bug gives playersunlimited revives on Rebirth Island, the playerbase collectively shakes its head.

The latest out of Verdansk is that light from the recently integratedBlack Opsflashlight attachment is bleeding through walls, potentially giving away a player’s location. The flashlight is a useful attachment in a number ofBlack Ops Cold Warmultiplayer modes, but hasn’t seen as much love inWarzone. This new glitch certainly won’t be converting anyWarzoneplayers over to the flashlight anytime soon. In videos shown of the glitch, it is fairly obvious that the cone of light from the flashlight pops right through a wall instead of being blocked by it. In a game where positioning is key, giving away one’s location usually leads to a quick death.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis constantly being tweaked, and the developer in charge of theBlack Ops&Modern Warfareintegration, Raven Software, has been good so far at addressing issues quickly. After being overpowered for far too long, it didn’t take long forRaven to nerf the R9-0 shotgun.

This glitch is likely to get a fairly quick and easy patch. It wasn’t long ago that light from aholographic watch caused a similar issueinWarzone.Making sure that every item that has a light source works properly, and isn’t compromised when a new update drops, take a lot of effort. The devs can’t always catch everything.

What is more frustrating is when the same glitch keeps appearing, likethe infinite stim glitch, that made a return visit toWarzonerecently. The flashlight bug should be taken care of in short order, but what will break next in this game is anyone’s guess.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
