Call of Duty: Warzone’s Stadium is one of the only buildings on the entire battle royale map that doesn’t let players inside. However, recent datamines have suggested thatCall of Duty: Warzonewill soon let players explore the Stadium interior, with the game’s most recent update lending more credibility to that theory.
Dataminers digging through theWarzoneSeason 4 update files have found evidence that players will soon be able to get inside Stadium. These same datamines also revealed the cryo weapon effect forModern WarfareandWarzonebefore it was properly added to the game as part of theWendigo Operator bundle. Since the dataminers were right about the cryo weapon effect, it stands to reason that they could be correct aboutWarzoneletting players inside Stadium as well.

Warzonedataminer Geeky Pastimes isn’t the only one to make mention of theStadium interior, but they acknowledge that it could be for a standardModern Warfaremultiplayer map instead. Geeky Pastimes also mentioned the possibility of a train being added to theWarzonemap, which is a possibility other dataminers have mentioned in the past as well.
IfWarzonedoes open up Stadium, perhaps it will happen as part of the big in-game event that’s expected to take place at some point this season. For the uninitiated, Infinity Ward has teased aFortnite-style in-game event forWarzone, and while many have speculated that this event could see Dam destroyed by a nuke, maybe it will feature the grand opening of Stadium instead. This way instead ofWarzoneplayers losing a location on the battle royale map, they would gain one.
Then again, it’s possible Infinity Ward could bothdestroy Damand open Stadium at the same time. Really until the event actually happens, allCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers can do is speculate. In the meantime, they want to keep completing theWarzoneIntel missions for more clues about what to expect from the in-game event, whenever it actually happens.
Infinity Ward plans on supportingCall of Duty: Warzonefor the long haul, with the game planned on being a constant for the franchise, even whennewCall of Dutygamesare released. Considering this, fans of the battle royale are likely in store for many other major in-game events and map changes in the future.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
