Infinity Ward published a new blog post focusing onWarzone 2Season 2and changes coming to DMZ on February 15. Season 1’s enemy AI in the DMZ were very challenging and led some players to become overwhelmed. As a result, Infinity Ward will implement several balance changes to adjust AI spawning, AI range accuracy, and other factors linked to AI. Enemy AI should still prove to be challenging opponents, but players will have a more manageable and fair experience in DMZ gunfights. Moreover, player spawn points in Al Mazrah will be tweaked to improve the early match experience in DMZ, and changes will be made to exfiltration, boss, and dead drop locations.
Infinity Ward determined Faction Mission difficulty was too steep, leading players to abandon their pursuit of the second Insured Weapon Slot duringWarzone 2Season 1. Faction Mission difficulty will be tweaked inWarzone 2Season 2 to allow for a more straightforward path toward unlocking the additional Insured Weapon Slot. In addition, the development team will prioritize crashing issues in Season 2 since Infinity Ward is committed to increased game stability for allWarzone 2players.
Warzone 2should benefit greatly from the variety of adjustments and game fixes when Infinity Ward releases the next major update. Season 2 has a plethora of new content, but Infinity Ward should ensure the gameplay experience is held up to the standard that active players expect.
Activision and Infinity Ward will likely continue to gauge player feedback throughout Season 2. A recent survey from Activision suggestsold maps like Verdansk and Blackout may returninWarzone 2, so players should expect more maps and tweaks in future seasons.
