Two new weapons are about to drop inCall of Duty: Warzone, but they are not yet available. However, players can get a taste of them in-game by “pulling” them in a gold/orange chest. The RAAL LMG and CX-9 SMG will eventually be fully available inCall of Duty: Warzone, but for now, they are weapons that happen to be over-powered.
NICKMERCS recently showed off his new powerful LC10 SMG loadout, one of the newest guns in the game, and he is back for more overpowered SMG action inCall of Duty: Warzone. He recently released a video sharing his thoughts on the CX-9 SMG. Although the gun is not yet released, NICKMERCS says he got a sample of the gun and thinks it is “incredible.”

NICKMERCS says he was able to play with the new CX-9 SMG for about half of aWarzonematch. His takeaways were that the gun has a crazy time to kill (high damage) and that it “beams at any range,” meaning that it is very accurate. That description makes the gun sound like it would be high on theweapon tier list forCall of Duty: Warzone.
The CX-9 SMG is based on the Scorpion SMG fromCall of Duty: Black Ops 2, a fan favorite for many. Although the weapon was very powerful, it was more of a situational choice. The high fire-rate and accuracy allowed it to be a great selection in close-range affairs, but not necessarily a good choice in ranged gunfights. NICKMERCS’s point that the CX-9 beams at any range makes the CX-9 sound a bit less balanced than itsBlack Ops 2counterpart. He also said that he is excited to see when the full gun drops inCall of Duty: Warzone, but also is a bit nervous, just based on how good the weapon seems.
The Twitch and YouTube star Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff tends to be a bit of a curator ofCall of Duty: Warzone. RecentlyNICKMERCS shared that he was quitting the competitiveWarzonescenedue to cheating, which helped raise awareness on the issue. There are plenty ofCall of Dutycontent creators out there, but NICKMERCS is certainly one of the more prevalent ones, so his opinion on something like the CX-9 inCall of Duty: Warzoneshould not be passed off.
Whether or not the CX-9 will be asoverpowered as the MAC-10 inCall of Duty: Warzone- which seemed to break theWarzoneexperience for over a month after the game’s integration withCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War- is yet to be determined. Hopefully, that is not the case. A more balanced experience is better for all, even if it is fun to have a gun that tends to do work on opponents in the right moments and situations.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
