Call of Duty: Modern Warfarealready has a decent chunk of Season 3 behind it, leading to Infinity Ward beginning to build excitement forModern WarfareSeason 4. One tease, in particular, should have fans excited, as it appears that one ofCall of Duty’smost iconic characters will be a playable Operator inModern WarfareSeason 4, and fans should immediately recognize them.

The character in question isCaptain Price, who mostCall of Dutyfans will know. WhileModern Warfare’scampaign didn’t allow players to step into his shoes, he is featured heavily throughout the campaign, acting as a sort of mentor to other characters in the game. A recent tease doesn’t outright say Captain Price is Season 4’s new Operator, but it seems pretty obvious.

An unlisted video from YouTube shows a call between Al-Asad and Victor Zakhaev, some ofCall of Duty’sbiggest villains. In the call, Al-Asad says, “They’re enlisting the help of a senior operator. I have only one picture of this man, but the quality is poor.” The screen then shows what appears to be Captain Price, complete with his iconic outfit, though his face is obscured.

Al-Asad says that he is “an old friend,” and that he will be a big problem.Call of Duty: Modern WarfareOperators have leakedin the past, which, for the most part, has proven to be accurate. Captain Price wasn’t included in those leaks, but this seems like a pretty obvious move for Infinity Ward. Price is already modeled thanks to being in the campaign, he’s been in everyModern Warfaregame so Operator skins should have plenty of options, and he’s as popular as Ghost, so including him with the Season 4 battle pass seems like a no-brainer to sell them.

Fans are sure to find out about the new Operator when Season 3 comes to a close. Infinity Ward has teased big new things forModern WarfareSeason 4, and Captain Price would certainly be a major addition. It’s possible that Infinity Ward pulls a switcheroo at the last minute, and a different Operator makes it into the game, or this could be a complete misdirection, but that does seem unlikely.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
