Following the return of Shipment in the Season 1 Reloaded update forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players are hoping Infinity Ward also brings back the No Killstreak mode for it as well. While the map itself can be fairly divisive, there is a sizable portion of players that love thefrenetic chaos of the small map known as Shipment. This year’s version of the map puts players on a cargo ship, seemingly taking inspiration from the campaign mission known as Dark Water.
Since being added inside of theModern Warfare 2Season 1 Reloaded update, fans have used this tiny map to help them unlock new gear, earn levels, and even quickly grind out weapon camo. In fact, Infinity Ward made a minor tweak recently for the holiday season, adding lights decorated all over along with some snow and other festive elements like presents and Christmas trees. Regardless how the map looks visually, Shipment plays extremely fast and killstreaks are a common sight with minimal places to hide.

While there are manyCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2players that embrace the chaos of Shipment, there has been a recent wave of sentiment that perhaps Shipment might be more fun if Killstreaks were turned off entirely. An idea for this appeared in a Reddit thread from Fancy_Leader6278, who lamented how Shipment has become a haven for riot shield users as well as mortar strikes constantly raining down on the small space, making it near impossible to avoid being killed instantly after respawn.
The idea itself seemed to resonate with other commenters, some offering other suggestions like banning gas grenades or other tactical items as well. However, some remembered a verylimited time mode fromBlack Ops Cold Warcalled Face Off, where teams of 3 faced off on smaller maps without the aid of scorestreaks for help. The return of a close quarters only style mode seemed to resonate with a lot of players, though whether or not it actually happens is another thing entirely.
In addition to the Shipment idea, manyModern Warfare 2players are hoping to see changes made to the Longshot kill challengerelated to weapon camo unlocks. Many have been left frustrated due to how much completing this challenge forces a player to change how they play. Many are offering suggestions on other, more organic style gameplay than forcing a player to kill from a certain distance away.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
