Call of Duty Mobilewas easily one of the most popular mobile games of 2019, winning Mobile Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019 and earning widespread critical acclaim. Activision has continued to supportCall of Duty Mobilewell into 2020, releasing new content for the game on a regular basis. The stream of new content toCall of Duty Mobileshows no signs of slowing down, as the developers are now teasing the addition of a fan favoriteModern Warfare 2map.
For those unfamiliar withCall of Duty Mobile, it’s basically a “greatest hits” compilation of the most popular maps and modes fromCall of Duty’s history. And now the game will include fan favoriteModern Warfare 2map Rust, which is being teased for a future update. Unfortunately, specific release date information for theCall of Duty MobileRust map is unavailable at the time of this writing, but hopefully more details come sooner rather than later.

Rust has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity recently thanks toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. TheModern WarfareSeason 2 updatewas headlined by Rust, and the map has been featured in most 24/7 playlists in that game since. Considering Rust’s popularity, it’s likely to be just as big of a hit inCall of Duty Mobilewhen it releases.
The addition of Rust will just be the latest addition inCall of Duty Mobile’s growing roster of maps, modes, and features. For example, theCall of Duty MobileSteel Legion updaterecently launched, giving fans of the game a new Battle Pass along with a variety of content from theBlack Opsseries.
TheCall of Duty MobileSteel Legion update also added a mode inspired byModern Warfare’s Gunfight. Like Gunfight,Call of Duty Mobile’s Showdown modeis a 2v2 mode that challenges players to team up with one other teammate to win five rounds in close quarters combat situations.
Moving forward, fans can expect the support forCall of Duty Mobileto continue in earnest. While the standard multiplayer mode will likely remain the main focus of the game, it’s possible that theCall of Duty MobileZombies mode will come back, and there’s also a chance that more content could be on the way for the battle royale. Fans of the game will just have to stay tuned to find out for sure.
