ACall of Dutyfan has spotted a rare Jeep Wrangler that was distributed as part of a limited collection which coincided with the release ofModern Warfare 3, the final installment of the originalModern Warfareseries.Call of Dutyfans have this and more to be excited about, withModern Warfare 2,the second entry in the rebooted subseries, approaching its full release.
Modern Warfare 3was a monumental success back in 2011, selling 6.5 millions copies within 24 hours of its launch, making it the largest entertainment launch in history up to that point. Unfortunately, although still incredibly popular,Modern Warfare 3was the peak of the franchise, with sales having consistently dipped since then.It was recently revealed thatElden Ringhad beaten the salesofCall of Duty: Vanguard, with the former only on sale for two months, compared to the latter’s six. TheCall of Dutyseries as a whole has sold over 400 million copies, however, and will continue to sell many millions more.

An image uploaded to Reddit by u/goohugger555555 captured a rare Jeep Wrangler in the wild, one with acustomModern Warfare 3andCall of Dutybranding. Given only 200 were put into production, it is indeed a rare find, but many of the comments were quick to claim they too had seen a version, with one reply stating to have seen at least 25. This is likely because Jeep released several lines ofCall of DutyWranglers, but only one of them was of theModern Warfarevariety.
Jeep considered thepopularity of theCall of Dutyfranchiseto be the perfect tie in for the Wrangler’s military roots. Capitalizing on the success ofBlack OpsandModern Warfare,Jeep produced “1,200 Call of Duty special edition Wranglers, 1,000 for the Black Ops variant, and 200 for the Modern Warfare 3 variant,” all of which sold out immediately, to the surprise of no one.
Modern Warfare 2,a direct sequel to Infinity Ward’s 2019 entry into the franchise, is due to release next week but is already available for many to pre-load and play. The campaign forModern Warfare 2is already proving to be a hit, suggesting that a return to prior glory may be possible, but players will have to wait and see before the relevant data is acquired over the following weeks. Fortunately, unlike the gargantuanWarzone,Modern Warfare 2requires a surprising low amount of storage space, no doubt welcome news to gamers who had to sacrifice entire hard drives to play the battle royale.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2launches on October 28 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
