Upgrades are available for tools, potionrecipes and cauldrons, town buildings, and even the player’s house. Players can rest at the tavern, fish, and get dinner among other things. There is even a dog companion that can be named, pet, fed, and will help locate hidden items and residents. The game features lighting changes depending on the time of day as well as a changing weather system. The game is open-ended and there are no time limits for objectives.
5Take Advantage Of Fast Travel
Moonbury is a place with tons of locations to explore in the town and the surrounding area. Players can roll to move faster around the world, even when inside buildings. People can get to know characters, fish, do part-time jobs, harvest ingredients, and more. Getting to the correct location is made easier by all the buildings on the map being labeled.
On the map are banners that markfast travel points. Players can see where the signposts are located even when not activated yet, and these teleportation points change to red banners when they are activated. This lets people jump from deep in the woods to the middle of town quickly which is good for events that happen during a certain time, quickly getting away from dangers, and returning home before it gets too late in the night.
4Be Prepared For Combat
Both plants and monsters drop materials that can be made into potions. The player can faint and miss the rest of the day by losing all of their health or stamina. Bringing food can recharge players' stats and the better the food the more it does. If a player runs out of food in the forest, some mushrooms can be harvested and honey can be dropped by defeating bears.

Rolling is an easy way to dodgea monster’s attack, especially because it doesn’t take stamina, but after a few rolls, it needs to recharge. Even though it’s tempting to roll through the forest for quicker traveling, always save a roll in case an enemy comes along that needs to be avoided. Along with tools that can be upgraded, the player can brew concoctions to give them buffs or damage enemies.
3Talk To Residents Daily
There are dozens of residents living in Moonbury. Players can increase their reputation and build trust through treating patients, but also by talking to people. Friendship events will be posted on the bulletin boards in town. Players caninteract with each residentdaily and even give them Moon Clove tea as a gift.
By increasing a player’s reputation and approval rating, the town and surrounding area can be upgraded with things such as new explorable areas and the ability to improve public buildings. With enough friendliness, people can even grow close to single characters looking for love.
2Gather Extra Resources
Items are needed for many things in this game and having a variety of different types of them isn’t always enough. A surplus of resources is needed to make everything flow smoothly. Ingredients are needed for more than just potions. Items such as honey and mushrooms can be fed tothe player’s dogand some resources are needed to complete quests. Players should spend at least part of every day out collecting items from the forest.

People will need not only multiple types of items for different shapes when crafting potions but a lot of specific resources as well. Upgrading a player’s tools and house requires hundreds of wood, stone, and coins. All plants refresh at the beginning of a new day and the farther a player goes into the forest, the more resources they have access to, and the more advanced resources as well. For example, orange trees drop more wood than green ones, so spending energy going deeper can speed up the gathering process.
1Remember To Make Money
Making potions and talking to residents can take up most of the game day, but it’s important to remember to make money too.Players will need moneydown the line for things such as buying food and purchasing tool upgrades. It also comes in handy for optional content, such as buying clothing or furniture for the house.
Curing patients is one way to get money, but it’s dependent on if a residents fall sick that day. To supplement this, players can unlock part-time work for the police department, church, and post office. Once the mailbox is added to their house, they can also sell extra potions. It’s handy to keep a few hundred coins on hand in case food is needed for low health, stamina, or a hungry dog.
Potion Permitis planned to be released on June 20, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Macintosh operating systems, and PlayStation 5.
