Bandai Namcois a giant of video game publishing. While many gamers will know the company for its publication of the FromSoftware titles, such asSekiro: Shadows Die TwiceandElden Ring, Bandai Namco has a vast list of publications since its inception in 2006. From games focused around anime such as theupcoming RPGOne Piece Odysseyto the popularSoul Caliburfranchise, most gamers are likely to know a few titles that have been published by Bandai Namco.
However, something that might be less known about the publisher are its ties with Nintendo. Previously, Bandai Namco has worked with the Nintendo Switch creator on multiple occasions, most notably helping to create someincredibly popular Switch gamessuch asSuper Smash Bros. UltimateandMario Kart 8.The two companies also worked together on a handful of other titles, and it seems they are willing to do so again, as recent job listings show Bandai Namco is hiring for help with a game contracted by Nintendo.

Specifically, three new listings have been posted onBandai Namco’s recruitment page. The first listing mentions that the upcoming title will be a 3D action game contracted by Nintendo. However, it doesn’t seem like this will be an entirely new IP, as the third listing informs that Bandai Namco’s upcoming title will be a remaster or remake, with the prospective employee needing to work on HD remastering of backgrounds and other assets.
There isn’t much information on what this upcoming remaster could be. However, plenty of Nintendo fans have weighed in on what they’d want to see. Many believe that the upcoming remaster will be forKid Icarus, a popular Nintendo series that hasn’t seena new entry since 2012 withKid Icarus Uprising. As this year would mark the 10th anniversary of that game, it might be Nintendo’s idea to get an announcement out for the new project as soon as possible.
Other fans are hoping for a potentialF-Zeroremake or aStar Fox Assaultremaster. Whatever the game is, it could take some time before Bandai Namco or Nintendo release any more information on it.Bandai Namco is planning on another remaster of theKlonoaseriesof 3D platformers on the Switch later this year. So it might be best for fans to wait until those remasters are complete before getting their hopes up for another.
