Developer LocalThunk has officially released a brand-new update forBalatro,which has now gone live for all players. This patch was released in beta earlier in the year and includes a few changes that players will want to check out. Among stability improvements, updates have been made on how various Joker cards work during rounds, as well as other changes that may throw even the more experiencedBalatroplayers for a loop.

The new Rental mechanic changes the price of Jokers to $1 at the start and increases it to $3 after each round. These cards are an important part of the game, withBalatrofeaturing a grand total of 150 jokers. Players have access to a majority of these Jokers at the start but will need to meet certain requirements in order to unlock each one.
Balatro’s latest patch also includes a few bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as a few other new gameplay features. WithinBalatro’s newest update is also the option to ban certain Blinds during challenge runs, allowing players to better predict what to expect during a game ofBalatromore easily. LocalThunk has also given players the option to toggle between normal mode and a new Reduced Motion option, which removes some ofBalatro’s more intense visual elementsthat may be distracting for some players. InBalatro,players are faced with the Ante, which is incredibly important as it dictates the score a player must achieve. New changes to the Ante system now make hard mode slightly easier, with the new 1.0.1 update reducing the Ante scaling during the most challengingBalatrostages.
