The spooky table, however, has persisted. This enormous bisected pumpkin isn’t the same table players are used to, but it gets the job done. Rather than being a table inspired by pumpkins, it’s a table made out of a giant pumpkin, which as an item that the player crafts themselves.

7New: Taurus Bathtub

Players know that some nights they have friends wandering their island, like Wisp the ghost, or Celeste the Owl. The latter is a special interaction that means only one thing; a meteor shower. Finding shooting stars in the sky will reward players the following morning with star fragments that can be used to build special DIY recipes that Celeste hands out. Some of these recipes are themed after the astrological signs and fans have been quick to rally around their favorites. One such item is the Taurus Bathtub, a porcelain bath shaped like a bull with gilded golden horns and tail. What else is there to say? It’s just pretty.

6Original: Orange End Table

Fruit-themed furniture has been a staple of theAnimal Crossingseries forever and the citrus table was always an important first step in setting up a fruit-themed room. Luckily forNew Horizonsplayers, the Orange table makes a grand entrance!

The classic lemon and grapefruit tables have been reskinned and are now one item called the orange end table. It is one of the many DIY recipes players can find in message bottles, shoot down in balloons, or begifted by friendly neighbors.

5New: Apple Chair

Unlike the Orange Chair, classicAnimal Crossingnever had a piece of apple furniture for players to sit on. For many games, the only apple furniture was a clock and a TV. Finally,Animal Crossing: New Horizonsgave playersthe fruit chair they deserved: the apple chair. This item is crafted through a DIY recipe that players canreceive from friendly villagers, find in a bottle, or be gifted by Tom Nook. This snazzy chair is also customizable, so players can choose if they want their apple looking like a classic red or a trendy green.

4Original: Cute Lamp

Some players may notice that there are no lovely item sets like there were in pastAnimal Crossinggames. The classic set has been traded out for a new set called the Cute furniture. Many of the Cute items are new and individual pieces, but some, like the Cute Lamp, are those lovely furniture pieces fans know and… love. The classic variation adorned with a pink lampshade and a heart pull-cord brings fans back to the days of old, of rooms filled to the brim with the color pink. While many furniture items inNew Horizonshave customizable color options, few bring out the pink like the cute furniture does, and like the lovely furniture used to.

3New: Pile Of Leaves

Everyone loves a good leaf pile, and the fall update forNew Horizonsgave us what fans really wanted out of autumn. The Pile of Leaves DIY recipe is only available in the fall and players will need to shoot it out of a balloon before it disappears for a whole year. Costing 3 pine cones and 5 clumps of weeds, it’s not expensive by any means, and players cancover their whole island in custom designsand leaf piles. These piles are a nice natural touch for players to add to their busy islands.

2Original: Well

Many fans ofNew Horizonsuse the new craftable wells to cover their islands, but they may not remember that a piece of Well furniture existed long ago in the original games. The Western furniture set from the originalAnimal Crossingcontained an old wooden well that players could place around their house.

WhileNew Horizons’ wells are a bit nicer, being made of stone and brick, it’s nice that players finally have those items back again. The well DIY recipes are available to purchase from the Nook Stop.

1New: Robot Hero

Perhaps the most taunting item in all ofNew Horizonsis the Robot Hero. Its DIY recipe is purchasable from the Nook Stop and right away it was an item many players set their eyes upon. Unfortunately, the cost to craft this giant robot warrior is incredibly high, and its components are largely random. Costing 10 golden nuggets and 90 iron nuggets are fine– the real kickers are the 30 rusted parts, which require Gulliver showing up many many times; the gold armor which is in itself another randomly received crafting recipe; and the rocket, which is a DIY only obtainable by Celeste, who has plenty of her own recipes to hand out. Overall, this robot is quite the prize if players can ever manage to build it.
